My friend Duane recently helped me build some portable target stands that I’ll be using in my Combat Focus Shooting courses.
Here are the original plans that we used: http://accurateshooter.net/Blog/targstandplan.pdf
For the cross-legs, we used 2×8 instead of 2×4 to provide more stability for the uprights. For the uprights, and of course then the spacer between the cross-legs, we used 2×2. Also, we made the uprights 5 1/2 feet tall, instead of just 4 feet tall. Finally, we modified the width of the entire design to accommodate the 23 inch wide Combat Focus Shooting BoS&P targets.
For about $71 of wood material from Home Depot (wood and deck screws, used spare cardboard we had lying around and of course the targets are extra), we built 8 bases and 6 uprights.
